Apple iPhone 16 Pro – According to a new report, Apple will use under-display Face ID technology on next year’s iPhone 16 Pro models. This will reportedly give the smartphone a cleaner look and may be more like a punch-hole design.
According to display consultant Ross Young, Apple is set to adopt this new technology on the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models in 2024. He also predicts that the tech will be brought to the non-Pro iPhone lineup in 2025.
Features
iPhone 16 Pro comes with a 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It features a hexa-core Apple A16 Bionic CPU. It also has a quad-camera setup on the rear for taking life-like photos.
The phone runs on iOS v17, which features WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and other features. It also has dual and single SIM cards, GPS, 3G, 4G and 5G internet connectivity.
According to a report by South Korean website The Elec, Apple is planning to make next year’s flagship iPhone go notch-less with an under-display Face ID system. This will reduce the footprint of the famous notch even further, and give the device a more clean look.
The new iPhone may also feature periscope zoom technology, which lets you take super-long-zoom shots using mirrors on the camera module. This is a feature that has been rumored to be coming to the iPhone 14 Pro this year, but it could also find its way into the larger iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max (Ultra) models by 2024.
Camera
Apple iPhone 16 Pro comes with a dual-lens camera system. It includes a 48-megapixel main sensor and two 12-megapixel lenses.
The main lens features a larger f/1.8 aperture, meaning it’s easier to get great low-light shots with this model. It also includes a new 2x optical zoom option, which crops the centre of the image to give you more zoom options without using a third lens.
In addition, the camera also takes photos at 4K resolution with a variety of frame rates and recording modes. It supports Dolby Vision HDR and Apple ProRes video formats, and can be used to take video calls.
Despite its impressive low-light capabilities, however, some users have complained that the camera’s software is over-processing images. This makes them look more artificial than if they had been taken with a regular smartphone.
Battery
The battery in the Apple iPhone 16 Pro is a 3,650-milliampere-hour (mAh) cell that provides ample power to power the phone for several hours. This is a significant upgrade to the previous model’s 2,800-mAh battery.
When a new iOS update is released, battery life tends to take a hit initially because of background updates and the reindexing of files, photos, and other data. But those changes typically subside after a day or two.
One of the best ways to conserve your battery is to use Low Power Mode frequently. It cuts down on background activity, turns off the display after inactivity, limits email fetch, limits the refresh rate of the display, and more.
However, even with Low Power Mode enabled, the iPhone’s battery can still run out of juice if you’re constantly using the phone for long periods of time or if you’re constantly connected to Wi-Fi. The good news is that you can now add a widget that displays your battery percentage on the Home Screen.
Screen
A new report has revealed that the Apple iPhone 16 Pro will feature under-display Face ID. This will make the Face ID sensor components appear under the display, which will reduce the size of the notch that currently separates the TrueDepth camera system from the rest of the screen.
The rumor was posted by The Elec, a Korean site, and it’s supported by supply chain analyst Ross Young who said that this would be included on the iPhone 16 Pro last year.

The Dynamic Island is a very promising solution to the notch issue that plagued previous iPhone models. It also allows you to show your lock screen widgets and wallpaper at all times. The iOS 16 software integrates with the Dynamic Island, and you can even use it to show live notifications directly on the screen.
